I grew up in North Carolina. So, if you're a stranger on the street, forgive me if I say 'hello'.
The photojournalism degree from the University of Missouri prepared me to shoot for TIME Magazine and U.S. News & World Report, but the education has proven most significant in the chronicling of my life and the people in it.
I have a heightened sense of nostalgia. I make little records with my camera and feel better about time moving on because of it. I have little interest in the contrived or pre-conceived. It's the fleeting that is fascinating.
All work is personal work.
