Jonathan and Jason
Jonathan and Jason were supposed to get married this month. Obviously, a large gathering of people indoors wasn't going to work in 2020, but they still wanted to move forward with their commitment to one another and feel the support and love of their families. Last month their immediate families gathered outside the Thomspon Inn and Cyderhouse for a brief ceremony and cupcakes. The arrangement was simple, but the spirit of the gathering was no different than the countless other weddings I've witnessed. In some ways it held even more meaning than the typical pre-pandemic celebration. When you go so long without seeing the people you love, you appreciate them that much more. Jonathan and Jason's larger celebration will have to wait a year. But I'm so glad they donned masks and hand-sanitizer to make us all feel a little more human. I certainly needed it. Congratulations, Jonathan and Jason!
