We took the Christmas tree down today. As ready as I am to eat a little less and sleep in my own bed for consecutive nights, I got a little sad as I walked the Christmas tree out the front door and tossed it in the cold. Brooke said this was the saddest day of the year. I think she might be right. Luckily we'll be able to drink our sorrows away on New Year's Eve and start looking forward to next year's festival of lights.
