The first newspaper I worked at was in Midland, Michigan. I was particularly looking forward to working with Erin and Keith because that is where they grew up and met. It was a lot of fun to wander around downtown and the North End with them. We mainly just explored, but we did make a point to stop by the restaurant where Keith proposed. Erin and Keith are getting married in Michigan next year. I'm glad I got to spend some time with good people from the homeland (my professional homeland, at least!).
