Channing Johnson is a trained photojournalist with a degree from a prestigious journalism school. After working as a newspaper staff photographer he began freelancing for prominent national publications. Today he documents weddings unobtrusively with a keen eye for the authentic moments.

Kate and Joe

I met up with Kate and Joe in Providence for their engagement shoot. We were doing the normal wandering around the neighborhood and downtown areas when we stopped to look at the taxidermy inside the Edna Lawrence Nature Lab windows. Someone walking by noticed our curiosity and asked us if we wanted to be let into the building. Why, yes. Yes we would. I can't wait for Kate and Joe's Vermont wedding next month.
