Channing Johnson is a trained photojournalist with a degree from a prestigious journalism school. After working as a newspaper staff photographer he began freelancing for prominent national publications. Today he documents weddings unobtrusively with a keen eye for the authentic moments.

Connie and Ben

Connie and Ben are two of the best photographers I know. For that reason, I'm a little nervous to shoot their Louisiana wedding next year. Luckily they are dear friends and willing for me to start an engagement session in their bed. The fact they are so open and comfortable with themselves and each other means these pictures have so much significance regardless of the decisions I made. I just pointed the camera in their general direction.
